ISLAM AND THE CULTURAL IDENTITY OF THE YOUTHOur youth must become familiar with their cultural identity, and they must come to know and believe that they are God’s rulers on earth, that they are Iranian and must be proud of who they are. If our young generation truly gets to know this culture, then no other culture can take away their proper and noble values. Having a proper understanding of the Islamic culture can be a positive thing. So long as one is able to know what is precious in ones own culture, and at the same time not become influenced by the praises of others, then his own identity will not be compromised or distorted.
