THE EQUALITY OF THE RIGHTS OF MANIn relation to the equality of the rights of man , we can refer to two basic principles: the first is that God for the creation of the human kind admired Himself saying, “So indeed Allah is the best of creators.” Therefore, from a legal point of view, we cannot differentiate between men since it would go against the blessedness of creation. The second principle, on which particular stress has been made in Islam and in moral law, and, in fact, furnishes the underlying principle of morality and the rights of man, is that one should want for others what he wishes for himself, and that which he knows to be an enemy he should also recognize as the enemy of others. Therefore, anyone who wishes to speak on behalf of the social rights of man with respect to this principle will not do what would be detrimental to others or anything that may prejudice their rights, and he will not recognize this inequality as part of God’s law or the rule of Islam.
